Ease of Doing Business
These criteria include Starting a Business, Registering Property, Dealing with Construction Permits, Getting Electricity, Getting Credit, Paying Taxes, Trading Across Borders, Protecting Minority Investors, Enforcing Contracts, and Resolving Insolvency.
In India, the Department of Promotion of Industry, and Internal Trade (DPIIT) serves the institutional anchor for the Ease of Doing Business in the country. Under this mandate, DPIIT has identified key areas for reform, and the Housing & Urban Development Department, Govt. of Odisha has already implemented the necessary changes as outlined below.
